Born and raised on the Chesapeake bay, learning and living in the city of Richmond for most of my life, descendant of coal miners, Irish and Italian immigrants, Quaker families as old as the Declaration of Independence, single mothers, widows of war, scientists, artists, and everything in-between; my art is an exploration of my identity as an American woman who feels belonging to all and none, and navigating the generational trauma that has formed everything that my family is and will be.
